Extended Side Angle Pose. Start with a wide stance, maybe you begin with Warrior 2. This pose can be done up against a wall if you have trouble with balance. Be sure to breathe while you hold and enjoy this strong pose.

This is video is part of an extensive collection of yoga poses, weight-lifting tutorials, and stretching instructions for you to review before taking part in an exercise program. Or maybe you were already shown one of these exercises but can't quite remember exactly what to do.

Pick a space where you can move freely, put on your sneakers, and have your handheld weights close by (I keep mine on a chair or a weight bench). If you need a bit of support getting up and down from the floor, have a sturdy chair nearby, or be near a wall. Safety first, please.

Each workout includes upper and lower body strength, core work, as well as balance. After your workout, be sure to hydrate and eat a bit of protein.

This practice can be enjoyed fully if you have a yoga mat (or exercise mat), two yoga blocks, and a blanket. We will occasionally use a strap as well.
